The Festival Sete Sóis Sete Luas returns in the city of Kas with the folk music of Korrontzi and the extraordinary fado of Custodio Castelo

The Festival Sete Sóis Sete Luas, promoter to the Mediterranean music and artists, returns to Kas from 10 October to 30th November 2021 with the support of the municipality of Kas and Tourisme Office of Kas, Embassy of Portugal, Embassy of Luxembourg, Regional Government of Basque Country, Ministry of culture of Portugal.
For the opening, sunday 10 Octorber 2021 at 9.30pm, in the city’s historic amphitheater, there will be a concert to the Folk music band Korrontzi, a showcase from an entire culture, which with the strength and energy of its lives transmit sounds and dances rooted in antiquity, as well as the new trends of folk. The band has the objective to give to the Basque popular music a more modern and contemporary look with more modern musical styles and the help and union of instruments such as mandolin, electric bass, double bass or percussion.
In the evening of Monday 11 October 2021 at 9pm, in the city’s historic amphitheater, the virtuoso musiscian Custódio Castelo will share the stage with Ana Paula Gonçalves (vocals) and Miguel Carvalhinho (bass) for a special fado concert. Custodio is the world’s leading exponent of the Guitarra Portuguesa he has made it is career’s focus to make progressions in fado music through innovation and by fusing it with other musical styles. Before embarking on his solo career, he worked with a lot of important artists as Amália Rodrigues, Cristina Branco, Ana Moura and more.
The Festival will continue from 24 to 30 novembre with the street artists DANIEL MAC LLOYD & RAPHAEL GINDT from Luxembourg and Frederico Draw and Rodrigo Contra (Ruido Project) from Portugal.
