The SSSL Festival returns to Ioannina with a rich programme of Mediterranean music and cultural exchange

After some years, the Sete Sóis Sete Luas Festival returns to Ioannina, Greece, reaffirming its mission of promoting cultural dialogue, artistic exchange, and encounters between the peoples of the Mediterranean.
From 23 to 25 July, the city of Ioannina will host three special evenings of music featuring internationally renowned artists from Portugal, the Basque Country (Spain), and Italy. The festival brings together different traditions and contemporary expressions, creating a space where cultures meet through the universal language of music.
The return of the festival to Greece represents an important moment in the long history of Sete Sóis Sete Luas, a European and Mediterranean cultural network that, for more than three decades, has connected artists, cities, and communities across different countries through projects based on diversity, creativity, and intercultural dialogue.

Thursday, 23 July – 9:00 PM, Multiplex Place “D. Chantzis”
Custodio Castelo (Portugal)
A unique concert dedicated to Fado, the emblematic musical expression of Portugal, with one of the most respected interpreters of this tradition.
Friday, 24 July – 9:00 PM, Silversmithing Museum Ioannina
Korrontzi (Basque Country, Spain)
A powerful performance inspired by Basque traditional music, combining ancestral sounds with contemporary rhythms and energy.
Saturday, 25 July – 9:00 PM, Silversmithing Museum Ioannina
Fiorenza Calogero (Italy)
An extraordinary voice from Southern Italy, presenting a musical journey through the traditions, stories, and emotions of the Mediterranean.
